Scheduling

This job is a complete breeze. I was pretty worried after day 1, things were kind of awkward and hashing my way through class was frightening, but today I sat down, relaxed, and went throught the book at my pace. Child's play. The only complaint i have is that I have to work long hours. That and the Tuesday Thursday Saterday schedule is a little weak. But the only real issue is the period i'm in right now.

I teach 12 classes a week. 4 a day, 3 a week. each class is 2 hours. this is the only way i could avoid working 6 days a week for 2 or 3 classes. So, OK, i'm out the door about about 9:20-9:30 and i'm workin' about 8 hours, half hour break for lunch. Only problem is from 4:30 to 6:45 i ain't got no teachin' to do! In a perfect world i'd hash out one last class and be home at about 7. Fact is i get home at 9. Furthermore, the break itself is right before dinnertime. Also, eating out twice a day? c'mon.

The good news? a loaf of bread is 60 tetri. That's like 40 cents. Certainly enough to tide a growing lad over. Also everyone's really nice to you after they haven't had to deal with you for 12 hours.

So later this week i find out if i got published. I figure i'll divide my time between Georgia Today and The Messenger, so I can call myself freelance. Also, I need to get a pipe, and a typewriter.

Well, i've got 20 minutes before class. I'mma grab a khadjapuri.

you've almost got all the trappings to be a Basic Writer!

for the record, I've got one of those Hunter S. Thompson-style cigarette holders and upgraded my typewriter to an Apple.
