The big thing that we did this week was we went up into the Caucas mountains and went skiing. I elected to give the old sport another shot after years of Snowboarding, because it was easier to rent Skiis out here and because it would make it possible for me to teach Lexi to ski. We went up on saterday morning and came back sunday at night. During the intrim we hung out with 2 of my favorite Georgians, Nino and Ecka, who knew a guy who knew a guy so we got to stay at this ski school for real cheap and eat proper georgian food.
After a few runs, Lexi learned to ski pretty dang well. I mean, I wouldn't throw her at moguls or nothing but she looked a lot more in control when we left than during that first run. Less snow plowing, more turning. She did get smacked into by a couple of kids who went barraling down the hill with nary a thought for the safety of others.
I was able to get back to my old mediocrity pretty quick. It was a dang good time all 'round.
Otherwise, not much to report. I've got a gig writing for a newspaper articles about restaurants and bars if i want it. I've also got an interview with a culture magazine who might want some content, who knows. Anyways, its' all pretty savvy at this point.
...I promised pictures last time. I will promise them again. Sorry Flickr! I am a bad person.
