It's like on march 1st somebody just flipped a switch. All of the sudden the sun is shining, the ice is long gone, and we can open the windows again without inviting the frozen king of the north over for tea. Understandably, this has put me in something of a good mood - especially because I just did pretty well at my first performance review at the CAC. I even got a smiley face on it. Y'all know how i love me a nice smiley face. It wasn't even one of those nonsense :) smilies either. Straight up wingdings. Yessir.
In other news I got my money from lufthansa. A fair amount at that. Also, i got my first pay envelope, so i'm all of the sudden sitting on a fair amount of money. I'm thinking the most responsible way to spend it is on something of a spring outfit. Maybe a studded leather jacket, so I can do something about this piss poor AC without losing my dex mod (RIP Gygax)
At this point the only thing I'm worried about is that I've been having WoW flashbacks of late. There's an opium den I don't want to walk into again, but there is something to be said for the good ol' fashioned operant conditioning clusterfuck that is an MMO. I know it'll all end in heartbreak but you never REALLY quit. Ah well. More's the pity.
Anyways, today I've got to finish up this piss poor article on a Karaoke bar we went to last week and get started on one about a microbrewery out here named KAISERBRAU. I simply cannot say it without the capitalization. KAISER. BRAU. KAISERBRAU! What is your profession? KAISER BRAU!
Anyways, I'm trying to keep writing fiction too. Y'know, so I can squirrel it away in random word documents and never show anyone ever ever ever. Lexi pointed out to me that you can get a 400 word book published softbound for 20 lari each, which is about 15 bucks. Like, really nice lookin' and everything. So, hey, maybe i'll go bananas and get self-published. I've got 5 months left out here, i might as well write some science fiction gobbldygook
Oh, and steampunk is impossible to write for, and cyberpunk is so early 90's. Any burgeoning genre's i can latch on to or do i have to invent my own?
